CLASSIC GUACAMOLE WITH TOASTED PITA CHIPS

A classic and easy recipe that you can whip up in a second. Although it seems basic, this truly is my favorite guacamole recipe inspired by my mom’s version.

CLASSIC GUACAMOLE WITH TOASTED PITA CHIPS

SERVINGS: 1 BOWL OF GUACAMOLE
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES
COOKING TIME: 7 MINUTES
TOTAL TIME: 13 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 3 avocados

  • juice of 4 small limes

  • 2 pieces of pita bread (or more if you want extra)

  • Salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare the Pita Chips

    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and cut the pita bread into triangles. Place the pita bread on a lined cookie sheet and once the oven is ready, roast the pita bread for seven minutes.

  2. Make the Base

    In a mortar and pestle, grind down your garlic and then add your lime juice and salt.

  3. Finish the Guacamole

    Add the avocado to the mortar and pestle and smash it until smooth.

  4. Serve with the Pita Chips and Enjoy!
